Topic: Microorganisms

What are Microorganisms?
Micro means very very small, and organism means living thing, so that means that microorganisms are very small living things. microorganisms are too small to see with our eyes. To see them we need to use a microscope.

This week we learned about five different types of microorganisms:                                     Bacteria
Virus
Fungi
Algae
Protozoa
Here is a good website to explore microorganisms:

We looked at the structure of a cell. Then learned about the difference between animal cells and bacteria cells.  Soon Linnea's father will visit our class to teach us some more about cells and DNA.

We used a microscope to observe 3 different kinds of Bacteria. Then we recorded our findings.

We are super scientists!
